REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS REPORT 2021-22
India won her freedom on the 15th of August, 1947 and became a republic on the 25th of January, 1950. The new constitution of free India came into effect from this day. It is the day of national rejoicing and a red – letter in our country. The day is celebrated with pomp and show, spirit, throughout the length and breadth of the country.
The 73rd Republic Day of India was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervour at DPG Degree College amidst the foggy morning of 26th January, 2022 following the COVID-19 Safety rules.
The celebrations began at 9:30 am staff members gathered at the college campus, for the flag hoisting ceremony. The Principal, Dr. SS Boken and Vice chairman sir inspired all with their motivational words The event concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
On the occasion of Republic Day, Online competition was organized by our college cultural committee in collaboration with NDLI Club for students.We received 55 responses of participants via Google form in various categories like Slogan Writing Competition,Painting / Poster Making, Poem Writing Competition. E-Certificate were given to each participant and top positions were also awarded.
